Michael was born in Miami, FL but doesn't claim it. He moved (or was moved) to The Appalachian Mountains in western North Carolina before celebrating his 1st birthday. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1999 and soon after moved to his hometown of Galveston.
After a few odd jobs, Mikie opened "Nautical Antiques & Décor" on 23rd street in October of 2000. You can find him on the web at www.piecesofship.com.
After finding his missing piece, Adrienne, they started their life together with the project know as their home. They have been working on it for 5 years now and are proud to be 3% finished.
He is currently on the board of directors or The Seafarers Center and runs a dog kennel for his friend Will.
