CHECK BACK IN EARLY 2012 FOR AN UPDATED SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
The 2011 Galveston Island Beach Revue featured a two-day event-filled weekend from Friday, May 20th through May 21st!
The event was dedicated as a "Centennial Salute to the Hotel Galvez" in honor of the Island landmark's 100th year, as well as a salute to our nation's armed forces.
The weekend's main event, the Bathing Beauties Contest was Saturday, May 21, 2011, on the beach in front of the Historic Hotel Galvez & Spa. The Bathing Beauties Contest includes both contemporary and vintage/vintage-inspired competition categories. The event itself includes "cat-walking" and posing by regional women and men and the awards ceremony, including crowd favorite. Spectators are invited to watch the Beauties line up as the historic Galveston panoramic is re-created. Cash prizes are awarded to the winning contestant from each of the 2 categories.
